Quality Management

Quality not only affects the result, but just as much the way there. Therefor quality criteria are to be formulated to verify the objectives. The constructive measures to achieve the objectives as well as the analytical measures to review goal achivement are set according to these criteria.

Quality control measures at S&N incorporate:

  • Document reviews
  • Usability tests
  • Prototype development
  • Code reviews

Testing and bug tracking

Another part of quality assurance are different testing methods. After the functional test by the developer the software components have to pass a module and an integration test (I-Test).

These tests and test prperations also include testing concepts, the creation of test cases as well as a corresponding standard to professionally implement projects at S&N.

The errors identified during the testing phase as well as the change requests (CR) from the usability tests are logged in an electronic ticketing system. Using a defined workflow the errors status is monitored and the association between release candidates and bug fixes is recorded.

The test results are logged in error statistics documenting the current test coverage as well as the achieved testing quality.
